What is happening in Tunisia?

Following a month of largely leaderless popular protests against the government, Tunisia's President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali fled the country on Friday. Fouad Mebazaa, the speaker of parliament, was sworn in the following day as interim president, and new elections are due within 60 days.

Why are the people on Tunisia protesting?

Why did it start? They were sparked by the suicide of an unemployed college graduate in December. The man set himself on fire in front of a government building in the town of Sidi Bouzid after police confiscated his fruit cart, saying he was selling without a permit.

Is this protesting dangerous?

The protesting in Egypt is believed to have started because Of the protesting that has led to the fall of the tunisia government, the Egyptians are believed to be unhappy because they have no more freedom than the tunisians but they believe they should. Apparently the Egyptians say that the reason for their rage is that The police beat Khalad Said to death, but that is not their only reason, a lot of issues are going on in their country, they cannot pin the blame on one incident. The protesting in Libya maybe have started a long while ago, a lot of incidents have happened in Libya but many of them have been kong term, they happened way back but they left affects.
Things that have left effects on Libya:
A former Roman colony, Libya is a mostly desert country which saw invasions by Vandals, Byzantines, Arabs, Turks and more recently Italians before gaining independence in 1951.Oil was discovered in 1959 and made the state wealthy. Ten years later, King Idris was overthrown in a coup led by the 27-year-old Muammar Gaddafi, and Libya embarked on a radically new chapter in its history.Libya was blamed for the Lockerbie plane bombing, and two Libyans suspected of organising the incident were handed over in 1999 for trial in The Hague under Scottish law. Marriage is a private affair

They story marriage is a private affair by Chinua Achebe was a fairly good story, I liked it but yet I didn't because it is sad that stuff like this actually happens. Parents have the right to control their children up to a certain age but I believe after they are grown they cannot control them any longer, they could give suggestions but it is not fair to say who they can and cannot be with. Maybe that is the way it was in the olden days, but it shouldn't be like that anymore. I relate to this story in a way where my parents also believe that they say who I can and can't be around. Yes they should look out for my well being but they should not try to choose my fate. I found it quite interesting how Nnaemeka's father ignored him and his new family for many years just due to the fact that he married someone that "was not approved of."

No witchcraft for sale:

I liked the short story No Witchcraft for sale, I think that it's point was to say that it doesn't matter where you come from or what you look like we're all important and we all deserve to be treated the same. Gideon was my favorite character in the story, he was basically the middle man that everyone liked and trusted and he was also the hero for saving Teddy's life. Gideon was brave too because he remained calm and helped the situation, without Gideon, Teddy probably would not have survived, also I believe that it was fair that Gideon didn't want to tell the secret remedy, it was his choice.
